Learn The Art Of Designing For Meterage Printing + Have The Option to Get Your Design Onto A Silk Screen

Whether you're a beginner or have some design experience, this class is perfect for anyone curious about the process of turning their ideas into printed lengths of fabric. This class focuses on the design aspect of this process.

During the class, you'll have the opportunity to develop your own design ideas and create two unique patterns that repeat in four directions. We'll cover two different methods of repeat design for screen printing, providing you with a range of possibilities. By the end of the workshop, you'll be able to take your designs home on paper, ready to be exposed onto a silk screen for printing meterage.

Don't worry if you're new to design - no previous experience is needed. We'll guide you through the process and provide all the necessary equipment, notes and light refreshments. All you need to bring is your creativity and your design ideas.

This workshop is best taken after attending the Fabric Meterage Screen Printing Class (see my other listings) but it's not essential. Whether you've taken my previous class or not or if you're interested in repeat design for digital fabric printing, you'll still be able to fully enjoy and benefit from this workshop.

The workshop will be held in my textile studio, which is located within a working creative warehouse in Marrickville, Sydney. It's conveniently located just a short walk from Sydenham station and Marrickville Metro, with plenty of free street parking available on weekends.
